This program is an exciting opportunity for artists to develop exceptional professional skills, gain meticulous attention to detail & excel in their craft, all while being ahead of the curve in artistic innovation.

Designed for those already at an advanced level, the ProApprentice Program is perfect for artists looking to expand their training as artists, but also their skills as a leader. Applicants must be ready to lead by example for the younger dancers & want to cultivate an inclusive, positive atmosphere around them.

Our program is not not meant to be a standalone training schedule; it is an addition to your already in-motion professional training & artistic journey. At Koin & Co, we believe in the power of diverse training opportunities while maintaining the importance of respecting your consistent training schedule. To best respect this, the program is scheduled for two days;

The ProApprentice Program prepares young adults for the real-world demands of the industry, fostering a warm & positive environment for continuous growth, The ultimate goal of the ProApprentice Program is to empower artists to cultivate their skills & successfully further their professional goals.

Program Structure

The ProApprentice Program runs from September to May & is divided into two semesters: Fall / Spring. Training sessions are held once a week on Sundays, providing a consistent & focused schedule for growth. Each Sunday the schedule is diverse with styles & new teachers, to best diversify dancers training.

To ensure individual development and personalized attention, the roster for the ProApprentice Program is limited to a select group of five dedicated artists this season. Each Sunday, the ProApprentices engage with a diverse lineup of esteemed instructors & genres, as well as surround themselves with the next generation of younger artists to cultivate their leadership skills.

In today's industry, artists are expected to be multifaceted, excelling not just in one specialty but in a variety of skills, including dancing, singing, acting, and more. The ProApprentice Program mirrors the demanding schedule of a working professional, equipping young adults with the tools and experiences needed to thrive to prepare them for a multifaceted career in the arts.

ProApprentice Program Elements

Mock Auditions

Throughout the season, our Junior Training Program dancers work with each of the major NYC talent agencies via the Mock Audition Series (MAS)! The MAS is a true test of the dancers, as their progress is put to test by agents & choreographers. Through the MAS, many dancers from each of our previous seasons have received agency meetings and/or representation. ProApprentices participate in each mock audition to gain industry knowledge & be seen by agents.

ProApprentice Piece

One piece will be set solely on the ProApprentice’s who participate in the showcase. This is where all of your hard work will be showcased - it is a such special celebration of the year-round trainees!

Spring Showcase

The season ends with an incredible Spring Showcase, that cultivates the time & work executed while training with Koin & Co! The Spring Showcase is split into two shows: Industry and Family & Friends - the industry showcase is for invited agents & industry professionals to have a private viewing of the dancers, while the Family & Friends show is just that - family & friends to enjoy!

Koin & Co Director Ali was once a young artist who came eagerly to New York City, only to find herself feeling unprepared for what was required to be a successful working artist & has created the ultimate training tool for dancers to suceed!
